A good stay that generally met expectations.

The location, the rectangular swimming pool and the Nubian restaurant and the Nubian restaurant staff.

Would have been nice to have had some gardens or ground close to the hotel to walk around in the evening but maybe this is not a realistic possibility given the hotel’s riverside location. Our departure from the hotel on the last day was delayed as they insisted we wait while our mini bar was checked. We never use anything from the mini bar and would not accept our word that had not taken anything - rather insulting!

It was ok

The entry ramp is very narrow for cars.the carpet is not clean,the towel hanger was broken. No iron in the room. We requested extend of stay,the receptionist told us to book through booking.com and she will give us the same rooms the next day after we check out.there wasn't any rooms, we thought that she already reserved our rooms and the next day we had to check out,which was very disappointing.

The front office staff also speak extremely limited English. Impossible to have an easy conversation.

Wonderful

The room was nice and good size the view perfect the food was excellent the stuff waer nice and friendly.

The pillow was not comfortable I didn't like the way the coffee served at the breakfast they don't have coffee place to take by your silf and they don't ask you if you want coffee they want you to ask them for it then they'll serve you as you know coffee and tea are very important in breakfast the 1st day I didn't get my coffee until finished my breakfast.

Pleasure,comfort and joy

I liked the panoramic view of the nile river and pyramids, The location of being on the nile corniche and very accecable to many nice places walking or using the transportaion. The swimming pool is the nicest thing becuase its been made directly over the nile so you can enjoy swimming,sun and view.

Unfortunately the most of the staff are always trying to get money from the client in a very silly way, If you need to ask about something or want to do something and you asked someone to help you he will keep saying Egyptian words refer to having money for what he did, and even if you get inside or go outside the hotel they will follow you and make the same thing to have any money from you... This is the most ugliest thing in the hotel.

The hotel gave us a clear view of the Nile and it was super close to the Egyptian Museum

The room was not very clean, especially the bathroom. I had to ask for 2 sets of towels even though the room was booked for 3 adults. Staff was not helpful. They agreed to let me check in early 2 out of the 3 rooms that I have booked, but when I come back in the evening for the 3rd room. I had to wait for an hour just to get the key. They basically just ignored me and went on to help other people. I had had a very long day and was so exhausted at that time.

Location is right by the Nile My room balcony overlooks the nile river, although in the future I would ask for a lower floor as 20+ made me feel dizzy

Some reception staff were helpful, others were unprofessional and some were just rude. I checked in early, which they kindly assisted me with...however, the check in process took at least an hour and a half because the booking was not yet shown by reservation staff. I was told to return after 10 minutes 3 times, then to cue again every time for no less than 20 minutes until they finally shown my booking. When I asked why my booking was not shown they said because it was booked by me the night before and that the reservation staff have not yet got around listing those bookings. Staff were not attentive. A guest asked a reception staff to attend to me since the reception staff was free - the reception staff (Mahmoud) responded to the guest with a grin that he needs to go home and been there all day with a complete disregard to me standing there, totally and completely unacceptable behaviour. Cleanliness is an issue - all carpets are dusty with noticeable dirt around the edges and in the corners. Most kitchen cups available at breakfast either unclean or chiped. Generally speaking cleanliness is a major issue. It was okay/bearable for 1 night, but not more than 1 night.

Not worth it.

Not much, except the view which I guess is a function of the location rather than the hotel.

Where do I begin? This hotel seems to be the remaining ruins of what once might have been a good hotel. All the basic requirements seem to exist but are in extreme neglect. I have no idea how it is rated 5-stars when it should not exceed 3 stars probably. The entrance lobby is filled with cigarette smoke. The rooms are old and dirty.The corridors are dirty. The breakfast is nothing interesting. The coffee is basically tasteless stained water. They also left the drinking water bottles (which are not free) on the toilet sink. The check-in and checkout were extremely slow. My colleague had extra meal charges "by mistake" and they took 40 minutes to try and "convince" him that he took it. I asked for the receipt that he must have signed to charge the meal to the room and it turned out to be someone else. There's also a deserted attaches multi-storey shopping mall with only a bank branch, money exchange, pharmacy, and gift shop left. Also, while not related to the hotel, but the culture of asking for a "tip" by everyone is exhausting. From the airport entrance to the gate I had to go through I think seven security checks. Every single policeman at every check asked for money to let me pass through. It wasn't even discreet, but direct to my face.

What was the highlight of Grand Nile Tower

I was not influenced by the lack of alcohol in this establishment. The result is a low standard.

The location was very good. Staff friendly, except for the management attitude. They paraded around as if they were clever and important, but the standard of cleanliness and obvious requirement of their job was clearly ignored. Any respectable authority would close this hotel due to their negligence.

The place, outside and inside was filthy.

Not recommended at all, extremely over priced for the value of services and facilities provided.

Concierge staff were very rude, it took them two hours to send my bags to my room and one of them hung up the phone when I called to follow up. Very long waiting time to check-in and check-out. Room Service staff are not responsive and if they respond they take very long time to attend very simple requests.

Comfortable with easy access to city attractions.

While the facility was older is was in great shape. Had lots of interesting areas to explore. The staff went over and beyond making sure our stay was all it could be.

The restaurant could have been better. Was clean with great staff. And while the food quality was not bad it could have been better. This could have been the the menu choices we made along with the expectations we had verses the reality.
